Από το 2014, η ICANN, στις περισσότερες διεθνείς καταλήξεις έχει ενσωματώσει μια διαδικασία επαλήθευσης της κατοχύρωσης ενός domain. Επιπρόσθετα, σε μια σειρά αλλαγώ πάνω στο domain, επίσης ζητάει επιβεβαίωση των αλλαγών, εντός 15 ημερών.

Συγκεκριμένα, στέλνει στο email ιδιοκτήτη του domain ένα μήνυμα με το οποίο τον καλεί να επιβεβαίωσει την κατοχύρωση του domain. Συχνά, ο ιδιοκτήτης του domain, μη γνωρίζοντας τη διαδικασία, δεν το διαβάζει, το προσπερνά, ώσπου λίγες ημέρες αργότερα, βλέπει το domain του να μπαίνει σε κατάσταση προσωρινιής αναστολής λειτουργίας.

Τι πρέπει να κάνετε για να φύγει η προσωρινή αναστολή του domain σας: 

Ελέγξτε την αλληλογραφία σας. Συχνά, τα μηνύματα αυτά, λόγω της αυτοματοποιημένης φύσης τους, πηγαίνουν στον φάκελο ανεπιθύμητης αλληλογραφίας.
